The advent in 1974
Kraft Food Inc. dug out the potential of popping candy and bought the manufacturing right, and sold the candy through its subsidiary company. In the same year, Kraft sold popping candy production machines, the technology, and the right of sale in Asia to a Korean company.

Hong founded Shantai Group in Hong Kong and the main business was completely switched to the production of popping candy and the expansion into global market.

Heavy investment in upgrading in 2010
Shantai constructed a new factory covering 28,000 square meters in Guolong Village and introduce 3 advanced production lines from South Korea.
Popping candy 2.0 in 2012
Through independent research and improvement, we developed popping candy 2.0 whose heat resistance is up to 50℃, adapting different temperature in different markets globally.
Bestselling worldwide in 2015
The number of clients overseas exceeded 200 and the production and sales volume led the industry in different countries and regions.
Private label in 2018
Shantai invested in and established BAIDA Asia Limited, selling products of the private label BAIDE worldwide.
Popping candy 3.0 in 2021
We have collaborated with the South China University of Technology and established a laboratory together. Through our joint efforts, we have successfully developed popping candy 3.0 whose heat resistance is 52℃ and which has a larger gas pocket to hold more gas at a lower air pressure.
Full-scale production in 2022
We started the full-scale production of popping candy 3.0 and doubled our productivity through high-speed intelligent packaging system and strict production management.
